Rob wins the 2017 Whitworth Masters played on 16th & 17th September at the Whitworth Institute, Darley Dale.

Rob beat Cornwalls Dave White in the final by 824 to 295 after getting a strong start to the match making breaks of 157 and 185 in the first of the two one hour sessions to take a 349 point lead at the halfway stage. He also made a break of 138 in the second session to secure his sixth Whitworth Masters title. The events highest break also went to Rob with a 209.
