The 2022/2023 Season which commenced in September is now well underway.

Two EABA events have taken place and Rob has made a very solid start to domestic campaign in England. He claimed victory at the first ranking event held at the Cueball club in Derby defeating the very capable Mark Hirst. Rob also took the high break prize with a 161. In the second ranking event held at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds Rob came up just short in the final losing out by just 4 points to the deserved winner Peter Sheehan. Rob made a string of century breaks but the top knock also went to Peter who made a beautifully controlled 290.

Three events have been and gone of the World Billiards season with Rob only competing in one, this was the Jim Williamson Open at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds. Rob played some solid Billiards but came up against the in form Peter Gilchrist in the semi final. Peter put in the performance of the weekend to send Rob back down the A1 South. The current world #1 David Causier lifted the trophy that weekend. The other two events were held in Hamilton, New Zealand making the trip a little too long and expensive for Rob to attend. Singapore’s Peter Gilchrist backed up his good start to the season by winning both events down in the land of the Kiwi’s.

The next events that Rob will be playing in are the World Billiards British Open in Carlisle on the 22/23 October and the opening qualifying stages of the English Championships on 6 November (venue TBC). Rob will look forward to seeing you all at these events.
