On the weekend of 24th-25th March 2018 at The Whitworth Centre in Darley Dale Rob won his sixth English Championship title. He retained the title for the fifth year running by overcoming Martin Goodwill in the semi final on the 24th March and then went onto to beat Darren Kell in the final on the 25th. Darren beat Dave Nichols in the other semi final to reach the final.
